Type 55/S Connection Head

The Type 55/S is a multifunctional housing that can be used as either a connection head or junction box. This tough and robust housing is manufactured from 316 stainless steel has a weatherproof rating of IP66 and IP68. The screwed lid is available with an optional window for use with an indicator.
The Type 55/S connection head has three entry points, two M20 x 1.5 side entries and a single 1/2" BSPP bottom entry. The housing can be mounted directly to a temperature or level sensor; or mounted remotely using the side fixings to a flat surface, or pipe, when utilising the optional PMB101 pipe mounting bracket.
The housing can be fitted with either a DIN standard terminal block, temperature transmitter, or one of our suitable indicators when specified with a window.
The Type 55/S housing is additionally available with ATEX Exia, IECEx Exia, UKEX Exia (intrinsically safe), ATEX Exd, IECEx Exd or UKEX Exd (flameproof) hazardous area approval for use within Zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 and 22.
